HTTPS

HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure, abbreviated as HTTPS, is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website you are connected to.

The “S” at the end of HTTPS stands for “Secure”. It indicates that all communication between your browser and the website is encrypted. This is why we use it to protect your browsing on our e-commerce.

3D-SECURE

The 3D-Secure system is an online payment security system, created by the international issuers Visa and MasterCard and implemented in France in 2008. It is a cardholder authentication procedure, to make sure that it is the one who makes the payment on the internet.

Step 1: enter banking information

As with any transaction on a merchant site, in the order payment area, you must enter:
– your card number,
– the date of validity thereof,
– the visual cryptogram (3 digits on the back of the card).

Step 2: authentication of the transaction

A new window will then open, with your bank's logo. It redirects you to the site of your bank to confirm your identity, with the authentication process set up by it. According to the most common procedure, your bank sends you a single-use code by SMS. You enter the information requested in the input screen. When authentication is confirmed by your bank, the payment is authorized and the transaction is finalized.

From May 15, 2021, for payments from 30 euros, this authentication by single-use code received by SMS will be replaced by a new mode of strong authentication, via the banks' mobile applications accessible from a smartphone, or by a combination of a single-use code and another method for authenticating the holder of the bank card.
